Make a Chandelier Quilt

A chandelier quilt is a great way to use up layer cakes, charm squares or scraps from your stash. The block is easy and the long vertical columns have big impact!

For a block you'll need to cut:

  • 2 Squares 2-1/2" x 2-1/2"
  • 2 rectangles 2-1/2" x 4-1/2"
  • 2 rectangles 2-1/2" x 6-1/2"
  • 1 square 4-1/2"

This video describes the cutting, sewing and layout to make this beautiful quilt!

The setting triangles are a little trickier to cut so here's a link to a chart that shows you all the different sizes.  The block finishes to 8" so use that measurement to look up what sizes to cut the side setting triangles and corner pieces.

I hope you enjoyed the video and I hope you try the quilt -- it's a fun one!
